The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is effective now or soon to be effective and impacts most AHPA members in some way. This webinar features a panel of regulatory experts and an FDA official who provide a roadmap to FSMA requirements and compliance that will teach you your FSMA responsibilities.

FSMA seeks to ensure that our food and dietary ingredient supply is safe from contamination by taking a preventive rather than a reactive approach. FSMA implements a self-enforcement review system of products, facilities, personnel and equipment along the supply chain that provides ingredients used in manufacturing dietary supplements. Learn what your business must do under FSMA.

A 20-30-minute Q&A session will follows the speaker presentations and answers specific questions.

  • How is FDA implementing FSMA?
  • How does FSMA affect ingredient manufacturers?
  • What is VQIP and who does it affect?

  • Rebecca Buckner, Ph.D., Associate Director of FSMA Operations, CFSAN / FDA
  • David Doty, International Procurement Manager, Mountain Rose Herbs
  • Anthony L. Young, Esq., Partner, Kleinfeld, Kaplan and Becker, LLP / AHPA General Counsel
