How to use the SIDI protocol to streamline your ingredient information exchange:
(updated 02/08)

This website provides basic voluntary guidelines and resources on the Standardized Information on Dietary Ingredients (SIDI) protocol to standardize and streamline the communication of information on a raw ingredient from ingredient supplier to manufacturer.

The SIDI™ protocol is an outline representing the type and scope of information that an ingredient supplier typically needs to provide to a manufacturer.

The primary goal of the protocol is to provide voluntary standards for the exchange of relevant and required information between dietary ingredient suppliers and finished product manufacturers that will simplify this exchange.

These steps are intended to serve as guidelines for use, to assist those in need and should not be considered mandatory.
