AHPA hires Anissa Medina as Education & Events Manager

The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) today announced Anissa Medina has joined the association as Education & Events Manager, reporting to Amber Bennett, Vice President of Marketing & Engagement at AHPA.

Medina comes to AHPA with experience in events, marketing, and regulatory affairs in the hemp CBD industry. In 2021, Medina served as Vice President for State Lobbying for the U.S. Hemp Roundtable. In her new role, Medina will manage and enhance AHPA's educational programming on regulatory compliance, technical issues, and other topics most relevant to the dietary supplement and natural products industries.

“AHPA is delighted to welcome Anissa to the team,” said Bennett. “Her well-rounded skillset and dedication to producing thoughtful, high quality educational content and events will benefit our members immediately.”

“As industry regulations and best practices change, we have no doubt Anissa's contributions will increase the impact of AHPA's regulatory and scientific expertise and keep our members duly informed,” added AHPA President Michael McGuffin.

Medina received her bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from San Diego State University. Medina also has an interest in sustainability and earned a certificate in sustainability and resource management from Irvine Valley College.

 “I am honored to join the AHPA team and excited to build on AHPA's existing educational programs,” said Medina. "In this role, I am eager to apply what I have learned from years of hosting virtual events and adapting to the challenges of the pandemic, and I look forward to contributing to AHPA's industry-leading education and service to our members.”
