Presented by AHPA's Diversity & Inclusion Committee, the inaugural "Rooted in Community" Lunch & Learn will explore how Traditional Medicinals' purpose and commitments guide its approach to responsible sourcing and meaningful engagement with supply partners and sourcing communities. Amid growing challenges such as climate change, an aging agricultural workforce, and long-term access to medicinal plants, building strong relationships and supporting community resilience are more important than ever.
The Traditional Medicinals team will share lessons from the field, highlighting their work in Paraguay to advance regenerative lemon verbena cultivation and engage the next generation of farmers, as well as their research partnership with Virginia Tech exploring sustainable harvesting practices for slippery elm in Appalachia.
Join us to discover how understanding local challenges, building long-term partnerships, and supporting the people and places behind botanical ingredients can contribute to a more resilient future for the herbal industry.
This free event is open to anyone in the herbal community with interest! AHPA membership not required. A recording of the Lunch & Learn will be made available after the live event.
