As the dietary supplement and natural products industries continue to grow, the demand for sustainable, high-quality ingredients is rising. At the same time, the botanical supply chain is facing an unprecedented array of domestic and international challenges. Supply chains are being disrupted by economic and political instability and tariffs are increasing the cost of herbal product ingredients. Climate change and severe weather events continue to impact crop yields and the transportation of goods. At home, many domestic herbal ingredient suppliers are grappling with the loss of federal funding and risks to their workforce. Working as a community to face the moment, adapt, and thrive has never been more important for our industry.

Join us for the AHPA Botanical Congress: Back to Our Roots, hosted at 21c Museum Hotel in Cincinnati, OH, on Sept. 16-17, 2025, where we will convene experts from AHPA and the industry to engage in discussions on:

  • increasing domestic herb production;

  • protecting native plant populations through sustainable harvest and cultivation;

  • current and future challenges facing the wildcrafting community;

  • market trends;

  • continued unity in the context of a broader trade environment;

  • and more topics that matter to your brand and business.

United Plant Savers

The 2025 Botanical Congress is being held in conjunction with United Plant Savers’
17th International Herb Symposium.

Founded more than 25 years ago by Rosemary Gladstar, this biennial event continues to be a place for herbalists from across the globe to exchange information about the healing power of plants.

IHS is a unique opportunity to build community, honor the crossroads of plant medicine, and explore how herbal knowledge flows through history — like the mighty Ohio River — connecting us all.
