The AHPA Herb Walk is back at Expo West! Join us on Wednesday, March 13 from 1-5pm for this special event.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the convention center and visit the nearby Fullerton Arboretum for a guided tour of the beautiful 26-acre botanical garden located on the California State University, Fullerton campus.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn about culinary and medicinal herbs and their uses from a faculty of renowned herbalists, featuring the Arboretum’s permanent collection of more than 4,000 plant species from around the world.

Bus transportation to and from the Hilton Anaheim and the Fullerton Arboretum will be provided.

Feather Jones has been a practicing clinical herbalist in Western Herbal medicine since 1982 and integrates herbal remedies, holistic nutrition, flower essences, and stress reduction guidance. Coupled with a background in Native American (Mandan) tribal teachings, Feather provides her clients and students with a synergistic approach to health and healing. She is an adjunct faculty member of Botanical Medicine at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and owns Sedona Tea Blends, an organic herbal tea company in Sedona, Arizona. Feather has been leading medicinal plant walks at the Fullerton Arboretum for more than 20 years.

Erin Smith is a clinical herbalist and ethnobotanist and has been working with medicinal plants for over 30 years. She is the VP of Herbal Science & Research at Banyan Botanicals. As a passionate educator, she has taught internationally on herbal medicine, ethnobotany, and the human/nature relationship for over fifteen years, and was the Founding Director of the Center for Integrative Botanical Studies. Erin has spent more than twelve years living and working abroad in over twenty countries. Outside of work, Erin enjoys cycling, hiking, traveling, and all-around adventuring with her daughter.
 

Roy Upton

Roy Upton has been working professionally as an herbalist for more than 30 years. He is trained in Ayurvedic, traditional Chinese, and Western herbal medicine, is a specialist in the medicinal plants of the Caribbean, and has an extensive knowledge and Native American ethnobotany. Roy is the founder and Executive Director of the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia, director of the California-based herbal company Planetary Herbals, has authored a number of scientific papers and texts on various topics of herbal medicine, and is an internationally acclaimed lecturer. Roy has been leading medicinal plant walks at the Fullerton Arboretum for more than 20 years. He resides in Soquel, CA.
 

David Winston

David Winston is an Herbalist and Ethnobotanist with 54 years of training in Chinese, Western/Eclectic and Southeastern herbal traditions. He has been in clinical practice for 47 years and is an herbal consultant to physicians, herbalists and researchers throughout the USA, Europe and Canada. David is the founder/director of the Herbal Therapeutics Research Library and the dean of David Winston’s Center for Herbal Studies, a two-year training program in clinical herbal medicine. He is an internationally known lecturer and frequently teaches at medical schools, professional symposia and herb conferences. He is the president of Herbalist & Alchemist, Inc. a manufacturer that produces herbal products that blend the art and science of the world’s great herbal traditions.
