More than four decades ago, a small group of visionary leaders came together with a shared goal: to create a unified voice for the herbal products industry. Their efforts led to the founding of the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) in 1982, laying the foundation for the advocacy, education, and industry leadership that continue to shape our work today. AHPA has served as the national trade association and voice of the herbal products industry ever since.
Join us for a special conversation with industry luminaries and AHPA founders Mark Blumenthal, Founder & Executive Director of the
American Botanical Council (ABC), and Loren Israelsen, Founder & President of the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA). Both played important roles in AHPA's early years and have helped shape the natural products industry through decades of leadership, advocacy, and collaboration with AHPA. Through firsthand stories and reflections, Mark and Loren will share the challenges, opportunities, and defining moments that influenced the founding of AHPA, the evolution of the herbal products industry, and the development of the organizations they lead today.
