AHPA Kava Working Group to convene second meeting

Building on the momentum from its recent launch, the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) Kava Working Group will hold its second meeting on Friday, October 24, at 10:00am PT / 1:00pm ET.
The working group provides a collaborative forum for industry, scientific, and regulatory stakeholders to share information and advance the responsible use of kava (Piper methysticum) products.
During this upcoming meeting, participants will:

Explore the newly published American Herbal Pharmacopoeia (AHP) Monograph on Kava Rhizome & Root — with AHP President Roy Upton in attendance to provide an in-depth presentation.

Discuss the drafting of a supportive letter on kava safety.
AHPA established its kava working group to support ongoing dialogue among stakeholders, highlight scientific research, and promote the safe and informed use of kava products in the marketplace.
